The walk down the cross streets to Spanish Banks, where the sand keeps going past Locarno toward Jericho.
Point Grey is a West Side neighbourhood of about 13,000 people, with a median age in the mid-forties and three in five households owning their home. Most of what comes up for sale is a detached house; apartments and townhouses are a small share, and four-bedroom homes outnumber everything else.
The strip is Point Grey Village, along West 10th Avenue between Tolmie Street and Discovery Street. Grounds for Coffee is the coffee stop, and Jo's Italian Deli, Burgoo and The Galley Patio & Grill are all part of the West Point Grey eating. Top Ten Produce is the closest grocery.
Pacific Spirit Regional Park and Jericho Beach Park are the two big ones, and Locarno and Spanish Banks are right there too. Spanish Banks Beach Park has a designated off-leash area on the sand; West Point Grey Park is on-leash, and dogs aren't allowed on Jericho Beach itself.
The West Point Grey library branch sits on West 10th Avenue between Tolmie and Sasamat, so it's part of the same walk as the village.
For schools, the public ones here are Ecole Jules Quesnel Elementary on Crown Street, Queen Mary Elementary on Trimble Street, and Lord Byng Secondary on West 16th Avenue. Independent options include Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Camosun Street and West Point Grey Academy on West 8th Avenue. Check the school board map for your exact address.
